Saskia Franken, Utrecht University Library, Igitur Since 2004 Saskia Franken has been the managing director of Igitur, Utrecht Publishing & Archiving Services which is the e-publishing department of the Utrecht University Library. Utrecht University Library has been a strong supporter of the Open Access movement consistent with its mission to provide optimal access to its scientific information resources. Igitur now publishes 15 e-journals, 11 of them are fully Open Access using Open Journals Software (OJS) as the journal management system. In addition to the publishing e-journals, Igitur is also responsible for the digital repository of Utrecht University. Igitur was one of the founders of OASPA and Saskia has represented Igitur on the OASPA board since September 2009. |
| Jan Erik Frantsvåg, University of Tromsø Jan Erik Frantsvåg is an economist currently working with Open Access at the University Library of Tromsø. He has worked for a number of years in banking, but since 1993 he has worked at the University of Tromsø in various administrative positions. He has interested himself in the economics of online science publishing (now Open Access publishing) since 1995, and has been looking into business models for Open Access publishing in NOAP, a project financed by Nordbib. He is currently head of NORA - Norwegian Open Research Archives - but also spends much time working on Septentrio Academic Publishing, the University Library of Tromsø publishing service that currently hosts 3 OA journals, with another 2 in the pipeline. |
